About Intown Craftsmen
Intown Craftsmen is an owner-operated company based in Decatur, GA. We specialize in homes in Atlanta's Intown neighborhoods. Our home improvement contractors can help you remodel, renovate or maintain your home and preserve that vintage feel. We are your neighbors, and we care deeply about the work we do because our projects are part of the communities where we live and work.
Our owner, Russ Melton, has been serving homeowners since 2000 and is a Licensed Residential Contractor (GA RBQA006292). Russ is our salesperson, and he uses experienced craftsmen and a select few subcontractors to complete each job. We are fully licensed and insured, and proudly serve 1,000+ clients inside the Atlanta perimeter.
Intown Craftsmen has received the Angi Super Service Award for the last several years and is Angi Certified. We are also certified as an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, which means we meet this manufacturer’s high standards for professionalism and reliability.

A few years ago, I hired Intown Craftsmen to remodel my bathrooms. Russ Melton guided me on things to do/not do and he and his team made great ideas for my remodels. He suggested places to go and websites to visit to pull together needed so I was in total control of the cost of every item small and large - cabinets, windows, faucets/toilets, towel bars, lighting, mirrors, etc. They pointed me and I ran with it.
While it was overwhelming at times because of the vast amount of product available, Russ and his team made suggestions to help me narrow things down. Intown did a phenomenal job with the craftsmanship and everyone was incredibly nice and professional. I knew that when I decided to have the old gross carpet ripped out and new flooring put in, my go-to would be Intown Craftsmen.

I have worked with Intown Craftsmen for years as they were my "go to" team when my house was a rental. They were always professional, worked with my tenants and got the job done the first time. So, when it was time to renovate my home to sell, I naturally called Intown Craftsmen. I was looking for an extensive renovation: new floors in kitchen, new backsplash, painted cabinets, entire house painted inside and out, full bathroom renovation, newly stained floors and a new floor installed upstairs. To add to the complexity, it was done remotely as I was not living in the area at the time of the renovation. I could not be happier with the results and working with them was incredibly easy.

We are really pleased with the work of Intown craftsmen. They divided one large bedroom in my home into two and added an additional light fixture. This work was completed on a very short timeline and Intown repeatedly checked the progress and our satisfaction throughout the job. The children LOVE their new rooms.
